I am an enthusiastic French and Spanish teacher with a joint honours degree from Warwick University. I teach French and Spanish to GCSE and I also teach Spanish A level. I always develop positive relationships with students and foster a love for learning a language. I am able to get students to work to their full potential, by encouraging students to work hard and by breaking down the learning into manageable steps. A previous success story- One of my previous tutees, far surpassed his prediction of a 2 in Foundation, did Higher and achieved a 7.

Tutoring Experience

I completed my PGCE in 2021 at the university of Sussex. I have taught throughout COVID and so am able to utilise online learning fully. I now work in a secondary school, teaching GCSE and A Level Spanish. I also spend every other Friday afternoon teaching both languages in local primary schools.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that every student has the ability to exceed expectations and their potential, the question is how to do that? My teaching approach is to understand the student as an individual and work together to break down the learning into manageable chunks. I pay close attention to the mark schemes and examiners reports, and ensure students are ticking all the necessary boxes for them to do their very best. In terms of the language, I encourage students to use it as possible so they get used to speaking and hearing the language.
