Tutoring Experience

I have 8 years experience teaching English in secondary schools and colleges. I have supported many learners with additional learning needs (such as dyslexia) as both a teacher and private tutor. A recent learner with dyslexia achieved a grade 4 in their mock exams but went on to achieve a grade 7 with my support.

I started tutoring remotely during the pandemic and have found that this can be more engaging and effective than face-to-face tuition- all from the comfort of your own home.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is first and foremost to build confidence. I find that a lot of students have great ideas but don’t feel confident enough to write them down. I also focus on exam technique to relieve the stress of time pressures and maximise marks achieved.
