Emily

Hi! I'm Emily, I have a first class undergraduate degree in languages and an CELTA certificate from the University of Cambridge. I specialise in working with SEN students, and adapt my tutoring style to fit each individual's needs. I am particularly passionate about encouraging students' confidence in whatever subject they are struggling with and I do this through engaging lessons, which inspire students to think outside of the box and see learning in a positive light. I am available to teach lessons online Monday-Friday, after school and occasional weekend dates if necessary. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like more information.

Tutoring Experience

I am a tutor with 11 years of experience teaching English, German and Spanish in a variety of educational environments. I have taught one to one lessons in English, German and Spanish, as well as in classrooms with between 10-30 students (once I taught a class of 80!). I have supported a number of SEN students through GCSE and A Level exams, and I have worked as a language tutor in a law firm in Mexico City.

Tutoring Approach

I create a relaxed and encouraging environment for my students. I tailor our lessons to the learning style and needs of each student, using interactive materials to make the sessions engaging and memorable. I want to make sure my students no only enjoy our classes, but come away feeling more knowledgable and confident in their abilities after every class.
