I’m passionate about Biology and love sharing that enthusiasm with others. Whether it's exploring the complexities of the human body or the wonders of the natural world, I aim to make the subject engaging and accessible for all learners. I find real joy in helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy walking my dog Henri and rock climbing—activities that keep me curious, active, and grounded!
I have over four years of experience teaching GCSE and A-level Biology, helping students develop a deep understanding of the subject and build the confidence needed to succeed in their exams. Alongside classroom teaching, I have also worked as a learning support professional, providing tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and visual impairments. This background has given me a strong understanding of how to adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles and abilities, ensuring that every student can make progress and reach their potential.
My teaching focuses on building strong foundations. I’m skilled at breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps, helping students grasp the basics before building toward deeper understanding. I place a strong emphasis on developing students' ability to apply their knowledge—an area where many marks are often lost in exams.
To support this, I use real-world examples to bring biology to life and show how concepts are used in practical contexts. This approach not only improves exam technique but also helps students see the relevance and excitement of the subject.
