Full-time tutor and Durham University Geography graduate with in-school teaching experience. Available to tutor Geography and Maths from primary level through to degree level, as well as SATs, 11+, 12+ and 13+.

Extensive travel across five continents and 35 countries, including climbing to Everest Base Camp on one of my two trips to the Himalayas; backpacking from the UK to the US through Europe, North Africa, Asia, and Oceania; qualifying as a PADI scuba diver; and exploring Europe, New Zealand and Australia in a camper van.

Tutoring Approach

With enthusiasm and a passion for my subjects, I ensure my lessons are tailored to individuals students, full of interesting facts gained from my experiences to aid the learning process. For me, visual and interactive tasks are important to engage students, which means I'm a great fan of worksheets, activities and discussion points. For exams, I source past papers that we can practice during the sessions. In terms of homework, I am happy to prepare and set pieces depending on requirements. My favourite part of teaching is guiding students through challenges and seeing that sense of achievement when they overcome them.
