Please do get in touch, no matter where you are in the UK, I'd love to hear from you.
I am a very experienced private tutor based between North London, Edinburgh and Cardiff with wide-ranging and in-depth experience with all ages and abilities.
My main aim is to ensure that a child enjoys learning and learns to approach difficult tasks with confidence and the belief that they have the capability to work out the answer!
I tutor in Maths, English and Science from Early Years up to Year 9.
I have worked with children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD and many common SEN.
I also have qualifications in child counselling through Place2Be, a leading children's charity.

I have been tutoring full time for over 4 years and have years of tutoring experience prior to this.
I worked with the charity IntoUniversity, who hold after-school lessons for a wide variety of ages and abilities.
With IntoUniversity I worked both one-on-one and in groups of 5 or 6, working on a range of topics in a classroom-style lesson, or helping with all levels of homework.
I also worked with Explore Learning, in a fast-paced learning environment, with 6 children at once, each with their own individualised learning session!
I undertook two courses with Place2Be to gain child counselling qualifications as the mental well-being of children is also very important to me.
I currently work solely as a private tutor of Maths, English and Science.
I have experience helping children to pass 9+, 11+ and 13+ exams and get to grips with SATs.
I aim to reduce anxiety and stress around learning and tests by building confidence and belief in ability.
I love creating fun, individualised sessions for each child, where possible and challenging them in the areas they can push themselves.
Everything I do is directly in line with the National Curriculum at the child's level.
I am skilled at quickly detecting areas where they struggle and picking up on why this could be, so we can work in the way that works best for the child.
Where possible, I include a moment within my lessons to approach mental well-being and to check in on the student and how they are feeling. It might be the only time in the day they get a chance to really process the worries and anxieties of the day, and the fun parts too!
I can organise everything from the topics we do to the resources we use, based on what is the best to prioritise with your child, but I am also flexible with this and will happily change things up to include an area that was tricky in the week, or a piece of homework that needs going over.
