I am currently taking a year out, before my third year studying Classics at the University of St Andrews. I have an A* in Latin A Level and a 9 at GCSE, and understand the challenges that these courses can bring, having recently experienced them myself. Based near Cambridge, I can offer both online and face-to-face sessions, covering everything from beginners to GCSE and A Level.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience in tutoring Latin, and have also coached hockey in secondary schools for over 5 years, during which time I also gained a Level 1 coaching qualification. I am particularly familiar with the OCR exam board for both GCSE and A Level.

Tutoring Approach

Each session, which can cover any combination of grammar, translating and commenting on texts and vocab learning, is tailored to suit the individual needs, strengths, and goals of the student. I offer one hour sessions, allowing time to discover/discuss specific problem areas, and then work through examples and practice questions together. At 21, I bring a fresh perspective and relatability to learning and am able to engage easily with all secondary ages. I am DBS checked.
