I’m a second year Durham University student studying Education Studies. I am an experienced English tutor with a passion for working with young people. My knowledge of the current exam curriculum, having recently completed my GCSEs and A Levels, means I can draw upon my own experiences to help my students achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring English to students ranging from primary school to GCSE level for 3 years. I have worked with students of all abilities and backgrounds, including two with English as their second language. All of my students have seen improvement in achievement, including two moving from a GCSE grade 4/5 to a grade 7/8 after their sessions with me.

Tutoring Approach

I take a motivating, engaging and enthusiastic approach to tutoring. I prioritise tailoring each session to the students’ particular needs to ensure they get the most out of my teaching. I place an emphasis on assessment practices to increase confidence in exam settings.
