I'm Elena, a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge. At school, I completed the International Baccalaureate with a total score of 45/45 (equivalent to 5 A*s at A Level). I went on to study Philosophy at Cambridge, where I graduated with a First Class in my final year. I specialise in Political Philosophy, Ethics and Ancient Philosophy, but have also studied Metaphysics, Logic, Philosophy of Language and Philosophy of Art.
I have experience tutoring university and Oxbridge Admissions (personal statements, admissions tests and interview prep), and have helped several students get into LSE and Cambridge.
I can review essays and coursework, providing feedback and constructive advice. Alternatively, I am happy to explain more complex concepts, have in-depth discussions on specific topics or even just help you understand the syllabus for your exam board.
I see whether the student has questions (e.g. about essays) or topics they would like to focus on, and can either provide specific advice on these, or teach them the concepts they might find difficult. I also discuss with the student how they would like to learn, in order to structure my lessons around their preferences so that they gain as much as possible. As well as this, I can provide advice and help with homework, prep and other assignments.
