I’m a zealous, caring and adaptable individual, working hard to enhance the ability and confidence of current students.
I completed 4 A-levels at college (Psychology – A, English – A, Theology – A, Maths – B) and graduated with a first class honours Bsc in Psychology from the The University of Exeter in 2018.
Now, I work as a Social Channel Executive at global brand Gymshark, with key experience in social media channel management, multi-project management in a fast paced environment and stakeholder collaboration.
For the last 2 years, I’ve been a mentor under the University of Exeter’s Career Mentor Scheme. My role includes increasing the employability of the students and graduates through a range of areas including CV reviews, organisational skills and job interview techniques. I also share guidance and support to students and graduates on their concerns about the future.
I’ve also completed 13 months of volunteering at The Listening Place charity. Here, I committed to providing face to face listening and befriending to suicidal visitors on a bi-weekly basis. I also completed training in active listening, enhancing skills in compassion and resilience, which aided me to created a space of non-judgmental support for suicidal visitors
The approach I take to all my support-related roles is one of attentiveness, care and understanding. I like to create an open environment of no-judgement where people feel comfortable enough to air their thoughts and ask questions. I aim to have each student leaving more confident in themselves and their abilities after every session.
