Having worked in a range of roles in schools since 1999, I am now working solely as a private tutor, supporting students who need a boost with their Maths generally or perhaps a bit of focussed revision ready for GCSEs, or an entrance exam. I absolutely love what I do - putting the needs of the individual first and forming a strong working relationship and celebrating the success of my students.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 20 years classroom experience, as well as having tutored Maths privately for more than 6 years, both online and face to face. I have supported both young and adult learners up to GCSE level, as well as working with international students aiming to pass entrance exams for British schools. I am also a GCSE Maths examiner.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are relaxed, fun and supportive. With exam preparation I focus heavily on exam skills as well as content knowledge - my work as an exam marker has been invaluable here. For more general support, I work on basic skills and identifying gaps in knowledge that we can work on - for me everything is about building confidence and help learners have success.
