I am from Dorset and after studying in London I spent 10 years teaching English in international schools and universities. I am both a professional teacher and award-winning writer, and have published educational coursebooks and textbooks which are used by students around the world.

My teaching experience spans 35 years and 20 countries, covering English language teaching to adults and young adults. I specialize in academic English, and I have exceptional knowledge and skills in academic language and communication. I am particularly experienced in teaching academic writing, presentation skills, study skills, and making appropriate language choices - all within the context of the task or assignment and assessment criteria.
