I am a engaging and passionate chemistry tutor who is keen to see you achieve more.
I have a First Class degree from the University of Manchester where I completed an MChem, which is an integrated Master's programme. I also completed a year working in a pharmaceutical company, working on the development of new medicines. I was recognised for my achievements with the Royal Society of Chemistry award for best performing industrial placement student, as well as the Salters' Award for graduates who have potential to impact the chemical industry.
Now, I am a graduate student undertaking a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Bristol. I specialise in organic chemistry with a good understanding of a broad range of chemistry topics.
I have a passion for the subject and thorough enjoy teaching and learning about chemistry. I spent much of time at university teaching my peers through interactive sessions. I love the fundamentals, which is why I am well suited to tutoring A level chemistry.
I have been tutoring A Level chemistry since the start of 2025.
I have experience mentoring students all the way up to university level. I have done volunteer tutoring going back 10 years, and have a passion for helping people learn! I have developed learning resources and review the education literature to understand more about how we best learn.
My approach is to explore the subject with you and get to grips with what you understand. I like to understand how you come to your conclusions so we can alter your understanding in a deep way, rather than just thinking about what is right or wrong. When tutoring online I often run sessions where I share my screen and either teach explicit concepts or we explore questions together.
