My name is Dorothee, I am French and have been living in Bristol since September 2018.

Tutoring Experience

I have given French lessons to toddlers and children, as well as adults, for five years/since 2015. My first experience of teaching French as a foreign language was in a school in Japan where I worked for three years. While at the school I taught children aged 1.5 to 12, and, at the same time, I did some private tuition with Japanese adults.

Tutoring Approach

I offer children the opportunity to discover the French language through songs, stories and games. Each week, we will explore some new vocabulary in relation to seasonal events, enabling children to get used to French pronunciation and learn some basics of a new language while having fun!

For adults, I can adapt my method to your needs and would be pleased to discuss this with you in more detail. It could be through traditional or conversation-based lessons about topics of your choice.
