I'm a fulltime teacher of Chemistry at Grammar School. I specialise in Edexcel and AQA A level Chemistry, but will happily take on students who are currently studying OCR A Level Chemistry.

Tutoring Experience

Chemistry teacher for 10 years, Forensic Chemist for 5 years, pastoral lead and safeguarding specialist for 6 years (teaching).

Tutoring Approach

Tutoring provides the time and one-to-one attention that is very difficult to afford to 20 students in a classroom. My approach to tutoring is very simple in that the sessions are led by the needs of the student. The pace, content and style of the sessions will be informed by how the student learns and will focus on the areas they feel least comfortable with.

The aim with most students who seek extra tuition is that they gain confidence in their ability and this is my primary focus as a teacher.

I'm making myself available over the summer holidays as I suspect there will be Y12 and Y10 students who may be looking to firm up some of their Chemistry understanding.
