Hello, I am a third-year medical student at the University of Oxford and offer online tutoring to students up to A level. I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential so they can meet and exceed target grades, especially to bolster a university application.
I have three year's worth of experience in private tutoring for biology and chemistry (up to A level), and maths and astronomy (up to GCSE). I have further experience in mentoring lower sixth form students and in providing mock Oxbridge interviews for medical applicants.
Below are my qualifications:
- 4 A* at A Level
- 12 Grade 9s at GCSE
I also have an up-to-date enhanced DBS check.
My main priority is to create a safe and friendly environment for students; this ensures that no one feels discouraged from learning. Any student is capable of academic success, but will respond well to different methods of teaching - I use a tailored approach to maximise your potential.
There are two aspects to performing well at school: understanding the content and perfecting exam technique.
I encourage my students to understand the underlying principles rather than just rote-learning content - with this approach, you'll be able to tackle any unfamiliar problem to secure top marks. Inefficient exam technique is often the downfall of an otherwise capable student - by breaking down mark schemes and the exam syllabus, I can help you produce exactly what an examiner is looking for.
