Dermot

Hi, I am Dermot Removed. I am an experienced KS2 teacher with over 9 years experience. I studied History at the University of Manchester (Master) before doing my PGCE at Durham University. I have taught in several schools across the Greater Manchester and Midlands areas. I am a primary Maths specialist and am currently training to be Mastery Maths accredited. I am also very experienced and knowledgeable in the teaching of grammar, punctuation and spelling and in reading especially vocabulary acquisition and comprehension. I have taught across KS2 and have lots of experience in preparing pupils for SATs test and for entrance exams for grammar schools. I am very patient and teach in a relaxed, fun way. I have a good sense of humour and quickly build rapport with pupils in order to help build their confidence and help them learn. I love providing pupils with bespoke feedback which allows them to thrive.

Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years experience of teaching KS2 pupils in English schools. I have taught for 7 years in UKS2 and have lots of experience in preparing pupils for SATs. I am a Maths specialist teacher and also have extensive knowledge of grammar and punctuation and teaching reading fluency and comprehension. I have been a tutor for 5 years.

I have relaxed and fun tutoring style. I have a good sense of humour and quickly build rapport with pupils in order to help build their confidence and help them learn. I love providing pupils with bespoke feedback which allows them to thrive. I tailor my approach to suit the interests of my pupils.
