Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, GCSE and A Level Spanish.

I am native qualified teacher. I hold a PGCE with QTS in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish with French) certified by Manchester Metropolitan University. Also, qualified as Spanish teacher “Spanish as a foreign language (ELE)” certified by Cervantes Institute. In addition, I have Bachelor (Hons) in Childhood Studies certified by Manchester Metropolitan University.
Having been fortunate enough to grow up between Perú and Spain, I have the privilege of being immersed in the richness of these two continents. I passionately belief that I could transfer my knowledge and love for Spanish into young people’s mind and hearts; so, they can be successful not only at GCSE Level but provide options for more students to learn Modern Foreign Language at A-Level.

Tutoring Experience

I have wealth of experience teaching students from different backgrounds and educational levels:
Experience from Early Years Education to Primary School Sector teaching English and Spanish.
Experience in Secondary Schools teaching Spanish to GCSE Level/ and French to KS3 Level.
Experience in Six Form College teaching Spanish A- Levels.
Experience tutoring students of all ages and levels.

Tutoring Approach

As a language teacher I am aware of the pressure students face as they approach their GCSE examination. I believe learning language at any level has to be creative and engaging. I have high expectation of my students, I strongly advocate a collaborative approach, based on strengths and target needs in all skill areas, whilst being mindful of other study commitments. I am passionate about languages, so the initial lesson will be to assess previous knowledge and to set a plan to meet their language goal; using their preferred teaching style for better and faster language acquisition. I am open, friendly and hopefully will inspire my students to reach their goals. Seeing their progress is hugely rewarding!
