I'm a student in my second year at the University of Sussex, working towards a BA in Primary Education and Early Years.
As a tutor, I believe that every student has the potential to succeed with the right guidance and support. I take a student-centered approach to teaching, working closely with each individual to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and tailoring my teaching methods to suit their learning style. Whether it's helping with homework, preparing for exams, or simply building confidence in a subject, I'm dedicated to providing a safe and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
With experience in both Primary and Secondary education, I'm able to adapt to a wide range of subjects and levels, and I'm always looking for new and innovative ways to help my students achieve their goals.
I have a variety of experience in age groups with a variety of subjects- I work in a Nursery when not at University, and have done months of placement in a Year 2 class, and then a Year 4 class. On top of that, I've also helped tutored family friends at a GCSE level.
My experience of working in a nursery and teaching in a classroom setting has given me insight into how children learn and the different teaching methods that may be effective for different age groups and learning styles. Additionally, your experience of tutoring family friends for their GCSE exams has helped you develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum and how to help students prepare for exams. All of these experiences have helped you develop a patient, supportive, and adaptable approach to teaching, which can be particularly useful when working one-on-one with students as a tutor.
I take pleasure in crafting interesting lessons and am a firm believer that education can be a fun experience for students, as long as the teacher is enthusiastic and adopts a student-centered approach. I have worked with children of different abilities and have taught various subjects. My strength lies in building strong bonds with my students and customizing my teaching style to meet their individual needs.
My passion for teaching, combined with my experience, flexibility, and commitment to student-centered learning, make me an effective and engaging educator who is dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.
