Hi, I am Debs. I have been teaching for ten years. I really enjoy teaching maths and believe that difficult processes can be broken down into simple steps to help all students reach their full potential.
I completed my PGCE at Brighton University after achieving a 2:1 in my medical engineering degree at Swansea University. I currently teach up to and including A level maths in a secondary school in Bristol.
I think it is important to tailor my approach to the different needs of students in my classes and ensure that all students have a firm grasp of the basic concepts before building on these foundations with more challenging work. I believe in using a variety of resources such as explanations of different methodologies, worksheets and games before checking that students can transfer this learning to exam questions.
