I am an Astrophysics graduate from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a former Physics/science teacher in the North East region. I am currently working within the government Project Delivery Profession in the field of staff training, professional development and apprenticeships. I have a great love of science, and astronomy and physics in particular. I was a founder member of one of the region's most successful astronomical societies and continue to be a regular speaker at astronomical events. Outside of work I am married with three children, one German Shepherd, one tortoise, several telescopes and numerous guitars.
Tutoring Experience
I graduated in 1991 with my PGCE teaching qualification and since then I have worked in a variety of middle and high schools in Newcastle and North Tyneside. I have also tutored widely over the years. Outside of education I have worked in a variety of roles over the years, particularly in project delivery, before finding myself working back in the field of talent management and professional training.
Tutoring Approach
Individual: Everyone is different, so my approach is tailored to the needs and abilities of that student. We will work together to tackle the areas of most concern and most benefit to the student, in whatever way works best for that person.
