I am a very experienced and enthusiastic Maths teacher. I have a B.Ed (Hons) degree from Exeter University. I have an enhanced DBS check dated February 2021. I thoroughly enjoy applying my considerable skills and experience to enable my students to successfully achieve their goals.
Since my retirement I have continued to work as a maths home tutor.
Tutoring Experience
I taught for many years both in 11-18 comprehensive schools and a sixth form college, where I also taught adult students.
I have extensive experience of ‘A’ level, ‘AS’ level and GCSE maths.
I have taught at ‘A’ level both pure and applied.
Tutoring Approach
I do one to one, face to face lessons.
I am a friendly, reassuring, patient and encouraging tutor. I try to
instill confidence in my tutees by motivating them to talk through their methods so that they have the confidence and ability to solve problems independently.
