After successfully passing the LL.B (Hons), I pursued the intensive postgraduate degree in Law, namely Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) from City Law School, City University of London, where I achieved a mark of 'VC' (greater than 70%). To add extra credit, I had previously completed the Diploma-in-Law from University of London. In my earlier academic years, I completed my O'Levels and A'Levels with 8 As and 3 A*s & 1 A respectively.
As a student, I had to start from the low ranks and scale up to the higher ones myself. Thus, I am very familiar with the obstacles and hurdles that a student may face and very well know on how to counter those problems. I am capable of pointing out the weak points in a student and then, working with the student to fill those gaps.
I am quite friendly and engaging and therefore encourage continuous communication, discussion and participation.
Worked as a Teachers Assistant at a tuition provider named 'World Education' for 2 years from June 2012 to August 2014. I taught Law, Mathematics and Accounting to students sitting for their GCSE and GCE. I was primarily involved in teaching students who needed extra attention after class. I also prepared mock exam papers for these subjects.
Subsequently, I provided lessons in Law to students sitting for their GCE A Levels for more than 4 years from 2012 to 2016. It involved explaining legal concepts, discussing each topic, brainstorming, solving problem and essay questions, question-solving, preparing students for their exams and taking tests. These lessons were all taught at home.
From mid 2016 to present times, I have majorly focused my lessons on Law both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including BPTC. Apart from providing knowledge-based lessons, I help students with their assignments, coursework and dissertation. I also assist students in their application for pursuing law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
I conduct my classes through interactive sessions where the tutee is encouraged to voice out their queries and concern. Specific goals are set for each class and each lesson is conducted through a problem-solving approach. Questions are solved at the end of each topic in order to ensure that tutees know what type of questions to expect and how to deal with them accordingly. I will try my level best that tutees engage and grasp the subject matter of the lesson.
