Tutoring Experience

Tutored privately and for tutoring agencies since 2002.

I have been tutoring for over fifteen years and have tutored hundreds of high school pupils through to third year university students. At the moment I am tutoring from national 5/G.C.S.E. to second year university in mathematics and physics. Tutoring of later years would depend on subject material.

Tutoring Approach

Tutorials are structured to ensure that the knowledge of the tutee is sufficient to cope in class tests and end of year exams with emphasis on supporting material being taught to tutee in lessons or lectures.

Initial tutorials are based upon current problems that the tutee is having with the subject.

For tutees unsure of where to start a few initial questions normally gets things started.

Tutorials can be exam focused or subject focused depending on the time available and the aims of the tutee.

Tutorials are held online via skype, zoom, microsoft teams or adobe connect.

Online tutorials would require the tutee to have a camera on what they are writing on and what they are reading from. Alternatively all material to be looked at would have to be scanned for sharing and a touchpad/touchscreen and stylus would be required to use the shared board. If you have the requirements for online tuition please let me know the most suitable day and time for tuition.

A minimum of ten tutorials booked in advance is required for online tuition. Tutorials payable on a weekly basis by bank transfer.
