Having graduated from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BA Honours in Acting I have worked extensively on both stage and screen. My credits include: The Hollow Crown (BBC), Romeo and Juliet (Headlong Theatre), Misfits (E4), Silk (BBC) and I was nominated for Outstanding Newcomer by the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for my performance in 4000 Miles (The Print Room) I have also worked at Royal Shakespeare Company (Shoe makers Holiday, Oppenheimer) both in Stratford and the West End.
I have previously taught Drama at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and also at the ukTheatre school in Glasgow, as well as one to one monologue help, confidence building, drama school audition practice and GCSE and A-level private tutoring sessions.
I believe it is my responsibility to cater to the specific needs of the student. At the appropriate levels my tutoring employs training in a variety of recognised drama methods (including Stanislavsky, Brecht, Meisner etc) needed for drama school preparation, LAMDA examinations or school syllabus requirements.
I also feel that sessions should first and foremost be enjoyable and exciting, whether they are taken with an audition/entrance exam in mind or simply to boost self-confidence.
