¡Hola! I am a 30ish Spanish native speaker living in the UK since 2005 and working in the education sector since 2012. BSc (Hons) by the Open University, very responsible and trustworthy individual with passion for teaching.

Tutoring Experience

I have taken into different roles such as SEN Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, Language/Conversation Assistant and YR7 Spanish Instructor. I have also been working in a few schools with students of different needs and abilities and ages ranging from 11-16.

Experience teaching Spanish

I can work well with young student helping to "absorb vocabulary", both written and spoken. I can also help GCSE Spanish students as I have a strong knowledge of the Spanish Curriculum for KS4, mainly with AQA Spanish exam board for GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

A language requires time and it takes a lifelong experience, involving lot of repetitions and the ability to learn from own mistakes, hence a language student needs a patient teacher, who is able to repeat himself and to point out the student the mistakes to improve as many times as needed.

Every student has a different approach to learning and it requires a different approach to teaching. I have the ability to be flexible to a student needs taking into account the four main spoken skills: writing/reading and listening/speaking. Of these four, I feel more comfortable doing conversation in a 121 basis to allow the students to become independent learners, improving his listening/speaking skills. However, I can also help writing/reading by boosting the student grammar with practical worksheet exercises.
