Private Online Maths and Computer Studies / I.T. Tuition

Recently graduated with a 2:1 in Games Programming from Goldsmiths University.
Prior to that, I earned a Distinction * (D*) qualification for doing BTEC IT in college which is the highest grade.
I have also achieved a grade A in GCSE Maths in year 9 (two years earlier than the usual GCSE exams). This was an early entry exam opportunity offered to me for being in the top 3 best students at Maths in secondary school (highest set).

Tutoring Experience

These two subjects were vital in my University experience. They were both required and challenged alongside the logical and critical thinking needed.
I have also helped a variety of people; a 2:1 ratio between friends and students. The students I have taught were during my on and off time spent at a college after my University hours where I volunteered to be a teaching assistant. Most days I would help teach Maths and on Saturdays I would teach IT.

Tutoring Approach

Since graduating and living through these unforeseen times where online teaching is currently the safest approach students can get, I figured I could help the ones in need.
My teaching approach is the fun and friendly kind while being professional and observant. Teaching can also be adaptable. The way I personally teach is logically. In Maths, students will only have to memorise formulas and tricks in terms of solving exercises that will then be logically understood and applied in any exercise they face within the level taught in their classes. In IT, similarly to Maths, it will be logical and straightforward. Technology is something that every person faces now-a-days and after the tutoring, the student will have gained all the basics and more.
The reason I chose to have this approach is because logical subjects such as IT and Maths tend to seem tedious and there is a countless number of students that “hate” Maths. Based on my experience, the feedback on this approach has been quite positive, often being told that it is effective to learn with a fellow student because it helps see them as almost friends which tends to take the pressure off and be fine with making mistakes. Making mistakes is perfectly normal and it is often how people learn. Due to this way of thinking, students have shown improvements.
For the students to know: Questions about both of these subjects are welcome regardless of the level so do not be afraid to ask anything if you are curious. I am happy to teach a little more than what you have signed up for.
