Tutoring Experience

I have 7 years teaching experience as a tutor for 1 -1 lessons. I have taught both Maths and Spanish, to a range of age groups from small kids to retirees. The main focus of my experience is in GCSE, IGCSE and IB maths. I have also had 4 years experience as a maths teacher in both secondary and college level..

Tutoring Approach

My approach in maths is to use our lessons as a safe environment where we work at the pace of the student and develop a picture of the weaknesses and misconceptions in their methodology. From this focus on these weaknesses and through repetition and reconceptualising we move from topic to topic. During this process I encourage my students to separate revision notes from working out. These revision notes become a revision booklet, which helps them condense the information when the time for revision arrives.
