I am a qualified Primary Teacher with over 10 years experience in a variety of year groups. Over the years, I have had many roles including Maths Lead, STEM Lead, SATs Specialist Marker. In addition, I have a number of years experience in tutoring 11+ subjects and other entrance exams. When I am not teaching, I run my own tutoring company (Bright Sparks Tuition), where my mission is to provide students with an environment which nurtures, encourages, and inspires them to achieve their goals, develop their confidence and reach their full potential. I am a calm, patient person who is dedicated and committed to all that I undertake. I am passionate about helping learners reach that Eureka moment!

Tutoring Experience

Through my career I have had experience in working with children from EYFS all the way to Year 6. I have worked as a senior manager in schools and hold Master Teacher Status which allows me to help and support teachers and schools in developing their curriculum. I have also had the opportunity to write articles for a number of education publications.

Tutoring Approach

I have a variety of teaching styles, which will depend on the learner. When starting, I will find out what areas of learning need to be developed and focused on, and as we progress, these area will be assessed and gaps filled. When tutoring, session will have a clear focus and outcome. All sessions will engage the learner through interactive activities and focused activities which will aim to deepen understanding.
