Tutoring Experience

I have many years of experience of teaching a range of subjects at schools, colleges and universities.

I have also taught a full curriculum to a number of children who are educated outwith the school system.

I have over a decade of experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages.

I also teach in the fields of biology, especially botany and biological surveying, and earth sciences, to undergraduates.

Tutoring Approach

I adjust my teaching to each student. Most often this involves giving clear initial instruction, and then encouraging the student to think for themselves, whilst giving them timely clues or explanations, as we work through further material.
