Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to view my page.
I am a passionate history and politics teacher, teaching in the Wiltshire area. I completed both my undergraduate degree in International Politics and Security Studies, and teacher training in Wales. I was awarded a 1st Class degree in both domains.
During my time in University I was a part of the Wales Officer Training Corps, a branch of the Army reserves. In this time I built up my experience in leading and teachings groups of future officers with ages ranging from 18-25.
My experience.
I have three years of experience in teaching future British Army Officers within the Wales Officer Training Corps.
I have two years of experience teaching both the WJEC and AQA history and Politics specifications from GCSE - A-Level.
My teaching approached is one that is focused on the scaffolded literacy and critical thinking development of my students. The factors of literacy and analytical development are the key areas, if developed and refined, will grant all students the best possibility in achieving the best outcome at all academic levels.
Nevertheless, the pace, style, and scaffolding is always subjective to the individual that I am teaching. This is why I suggest a brief conversation before any tutoring takes place to discuss the individuals preferred environment and teaching preferences to maximise each tutor session going forward.
