I am a native English speaker who lived and worked as a translator in France for 2 years, where I was immersed in the culture and the language.
I studied French, Spanish and Latin due to a love for languages.
I'm starting a law conversion in September but plan to continue tutoring alongside it.
I have experience working with young children, particularly when I was employed as assistant manager for a luxury chalet complex in France. The company offered daily baby-sitting services for when parents wanted to leave their children whilst they went skiing, which meant that I was responsible for looking after children for long periods of time. This meant that I had to find ways to keep them occupied, including reading books and finding fun, educational games to play.
I also benefited from having a private french tutor at university so am familiar with lesson plans and different learning techniques.
I am a very patient, personable and positive individual who has a love for languages.
I believe that it is important to cater to each individual's needs and preferred learning methods so that each student can get the most out of the teaching.
I like to be methodical so that all the basics get throughly covered and nothing gets missed, and will try and frequently revisit topics that have already been covered.
