I am passionate about English having a joint degree in both English Language and English Literature. I have been teaching for 4 years and I am an AQA examiner in both Language and Literature. I have been tutoring GCSE level for 2 years. I have an excellent track record of getting my students the grades the aspire for.

Tutoring Experience

During my undergrad degree I worked in Ireland as a teaching scholar before moving to Liverpool where I did my training in an all girls school before being accepted for a teaching position at King's Leadership Academy Warrington. King's Leadership Academy is in the top 2% for GCSE results in the country and holds a big focus on literacy which I am proud to be a part of. I have marked both Language and Literature for AQA. I have been tutoring for over 2 years in both Language and Literature up to GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is getting an insight to what works best for my students and adapting my resources to their needs. If something is not working it is my job to change the approach and come at topics from different perspectives for each student. I use the highest quality resources and lessons which allow for all the key skills to be learnt along side the knowledge required. I like to focus of learning skills through subject knowledge rather than looking at them separately. I have outstanding training in pedagogy and enjoy linking the student to the learning in a way that works specifically for them.
