I am a fully qualified (QTS) secondary teacher of Business Studies for KS3-KS5. Currently teach and specialise in the Edexcel exam board for GCSE, A Level and BTEC. I also teach OCR Cambridge Nationals Level 1/2 in Enterprise and Marketing.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience of both teaching and support roles. Previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant for two years in an inner London school supporting students with special educational needs. I have been teaching since 2016 in GCSE (Including Cambridge Nationals Level 1/2 in Enterprise and Marketing) Business up to A Level, including BTEC Level 3 Business; specialising in the Edexcel exam board. Able to support BTEC students who need additional support for new BTEC units, particularly Unit 2 and Unit 6- The external exam units.

Tutoring Approach

I offer students, who are struggling or need a boost in Business Studies, the support they need to achieve good grades as far as is possible. I will help students to identify their needs/areas of concern to build upon their strengths and improve in areas of weakness. Students will need to be dedicated and willing to put in the time to make a difference to final outcomes.

I strongly believe in the importance of mastering exam technique and will work closely with students to aid in their understanding of how they are assessed by examiners to enable them to construct answers specific to meeting assessment objectives of the exam question.

I believe it’s important to stretch and challenge students to aid in their development. I use scaffolding to bridge the gap in order for them to gain the higher thinking skills required for good analysis and evaluation.
