I hold a DPhil in Engineering Science in Oxford, on the mechanical properties of nickel-based superalloys used in turbine engine applications in a project funded by Rolls-Royce plc. Before my admission as a graduate student in Oxford, I completed my undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Thessaly, Greece with final grade 8.50/10 (top 5%).
I actively promote gender equality and diversity in STEM. I am a member of the committee leading Oxford Females in Engineering, Science and Technology (OxFEST) as a Public Relations Coordinator and was one of the main organisers of the annual conference of OxFEST themed as STEMpower Her: Together We Rise.
My teaching experience includes tutorials on Materials Science and Solid Mechanics, to my fellow students while being an undergraduate student in Greece, as well as private tutorials to younger students (ages 9-14) on Maths and Physics.
My approach is a student-centered approach and depends strongly on the needs of the student (personalised learning).
