I recently graduated from the University of Oxford, where I achieved a high 2:1 in Law finals and a 1:1 during Moderations, the first set of public examinations. I have also attained 3 A*s (Economics, History, Mathematics) and one A (English Literature) in A-levels, and straight 9s in my GCSEs. I've currently been tutoring Maths and English for around two years now, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time interacting with students and helping them gain confidence in their abilities. I have developed a strong foundation in breaking down complicated concepts and improving problem-solving skills. Above all, I am a warm and friendly person who will work collaboratively with students to get the most out of our sessions together!
I currently work as a volunteer tutor with the Oxford Hub, where I teach KS3-4 English and Mathematics. I have also worked with an international tutoring company since September 2024.
I use fun and hands-on activities to ensure that my students fully engage with the material, and make sure to plan my lessons in a structured way so that the student’s targets will be met. I also regularly ask for feedback from my students to check that they understand the content properly.
I typically structure my sessions as first explaining the content, then going through questions step-by-step, and finally practicing some exam questions with more limited assistance from my part. Every few weeks I usually conduct revision sessions to recap the previous material and ensure the student does not forget what they have already learnt.
I look forward to helping you on your academic journey!
