I am a 37-year-old, Primary School Teacher based in East Didsbury (as of SEPTEMBER 2025). I teach full time locally within a primary school setting. I am currently teaching Year 3 and have previously taught Year 1, 5 and 6.
I have extensive experience working previously as a Teaching Assistant and prior training (2005-2009) as a primary school teacher. I've been on school placements across years 1, 3, and 6. I received top marks across all school placements. Previously, I have taught in Year 6 for part of the summer term and a whole academic year in Year 5 in a school in Brighton, East Sussex.
I currently teach year 5.
My teaching approach is tailored to the individual. I apply a variety of teaching methods and practices to suit the specific needs of my pupils, adapting them accordingly. I believe that no two students are the same and therefore pride myself on my ability in getting to know and understand how my students work best, adapting my lesson plans to suit their needs accordingly.
I am meticulous with my planning, ensuring that all lessons are progressive, taking on board what my pupils already know and developing ways in which I can progress their learning at a suitable pace, with an end goal in mind.
Each lesson consists of a particular learning outcome or focus, with all input built around the lesson objective.
My aim is to ensure skills and learning are taught in a way that can be applied not just within a single subject, but can be transferrable across other areas of learning.
