As well as enthusiastic, bespoke, well planned lessons I promise to bring a sense of humour and fun to every session. I am happy to offer short-term and long-term, bespoke packages depending on your needs. So, if mock results were not as good as expected, I promise that together we can make a real impact on your next results. I am an enthusiastic Science Teacher, making science relevant, interesting and fun. I build professional relationships with all my students, helping them realise and achieve their potential. I have been teaching for 26 years, and have been a head of science and a SENDCo during that time. It is essential to me that my students enjoy science, and I do this by linking topics to everyday lives.
As I can teach all 3 sciences to higher level, sessions can be flexible to fit the student's needs.

Tutoring Experience

I have a wealth of experience, having taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4 for many years. I have taught students across the full range of abilities and from Y7 to Y11, adapting lessons for students achieving GCSE grades 1 up to 9. I am also a qualified SENDCo and have worked with students with all range of SEND both in the classroom and beyond.
During COVID I fine-tuned my on-line tutor sessions making them interactive and engaging. Online tuition still suits many families and I am happy to offer these sessions as well as face to face.

Tutoring Approach

All my one to one lessons are carefully planned and delivered to suit the needs of the student. Where possible I make lessons relevant to the student's everyday lives, linking interests and passions to the curriculum. I plan bespoke activities, whether online or in person, which address the learning style and needs of each individual. I teach revision strategies in every lesson, so that knowledge sticks and achievement grows.
