I am originally from Manchester,UK and I have been teaching English, in a range of contexts, for 10 years. In this time I have had the pleasure of meeting and teaching students from all over the world, both online and in person.
I love my job as I enjoy meeting new people and helping my students achieve their language learning goals.

I am approachable and confident in teaching in any area of English language, whether it be for exam preparation (IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE), or English for Academic Purposes, or for general English and speaking fluency. Each class can be tailored to an individual students needs, I am flexible and adaptable.

Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years experience teaching English in a range of contexts. After completing my degree in Media and Performance (University of Salford) I went to Vietnam to study for my initial teaching qualification (Cambridge Celta).
Since then, I have lived and worked in Spain and Italy teaching both adult and young learners.
More recently I have been studying for the Cambridge Delta and for the past three years I have been working for the University of Manchester teaching academic English on their summer program.

• Extensive knowledge of ESOL exams - Cambridge FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS.
• Proficient in teaching full range of CEFR levels

• Qualified IELTS speaking examiner
• Competent teaching with online platforms such as Zoom, Skype and Teams.

Tutoring Approach

I would like to have a short online chat with you first, for an initial introduction and so you can tell me about your language learning needs. From there I will be able to plan how best to help you reach your goals and you have the opportunity to ask me any questions too.
I believe that the best way to learn is by doing, so in my classes the student will do most of the work, whilst I will be there to guide and facilitate the learning.
I am approachable and friendly and completely empathise with the difficulties faced when learning a language.
My primary aim is to help my learners gain confidence and make progress in whichever area interests them .
