I am a dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child. I pride myself in being a warm and caring teacher who wants all children to be successful learners by creating a stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive atmosphere to meet the varied needs of students.

Tutoring Experience

I have specialised in ages nursery to year two including a mixed class of reception-year two. My teaching experience has provided opportunities for me to differentiate to all abilities including engaging children with additional needs.

Since qualifying as a teacher I have been extending my knowledge through being a supply teacher, providing opportunities to understand different schemes of work. This has also strengthened my ability to differentiate and have multiple approaches to supporting all learners of all abilities. I enjoy working with all ages, and my experience has secured my knowledge to provide support appropriate for children at different stages of their learning.

Tutoring Approach

I am a very reflective teacher and change my approach to teaching dependant on the learners. I may change my approach depending on the strengths of each learner and their interests. I encourage children to enjoy learning and incorporate their interests and preferences into the learning to make it engaging whilst also challenging to strengthen their skills. I appreciate learners may respond differently and I adapt my teaching to reciprocate that, but I believe that hands on and practical learning is the most influential to allow children to understand processes in real life contexts.
