I am a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced teacher of Biology. I graduated from the University of Durham and completed my Masters in Education and PGCE (Secondary Science) at the University of Nottingham.

Tutoring Experience

I am a Biology specialist with over ten years experience in both the state and independent sectors.
I currently teach the Edexcel IGCSE and IB DP Biology specifications.
Previously, I have taught the AQA GCSE course and both the AQA, Edexcel (A, B and International), OCR A and CIE A Level courses.
I am a Pearson IGCSE examiner.

Tutoring Approach

I currently teach at a top, independent school in Italy. I thoroughly enjoy building a rapport and good working relationship with my pupils. I take pride in creating an environment where my pupils feel confident and able to ask questions.
My approach depends on the needs of my pupils; some prefer a systematic approach to identify and target knowledge gaps, others are more confident about the support they require and there is more focus on examination technique. By offering a flexible approach, we can work together more effectively.
Many pupils now find online learning to be second nature, and the ability to easily share resources makes this approach very effective for tutoring.
