I am a mathematician at heart and program as a hobby, I plan to work with AI post-uni because I think it marries deep philosophy and computer science/maths in a really interesting way.
I have some experience in formally tutoring, and have been helping my friends revise informally throughout the sixth form. My formal tutoring was with KS3 maths but I am proficient in higher-level tutoring.
I prefer to let the pupil lead the way, and help them get to the answer themself so that they can learn the approach to a question rather than just what a specific answer is. I also change my sessions a lot depending on how I think it will most benefit the pupil because the way people retain knowledge varies so much - one of the benefits of one on one tutoring is being able to cater the sessions around the pupil.
