I grew up in London, and after studying Chinese at University, have spent many years in China, working in the local environment, Beijing, Shanghai and all over North and Central China.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in secondary schools, beginners, GCSE and A level.
I have given advanced classes using regional Chinese newspapers as source material.

Tutoring Approach

I will always encourage students to speak Mandarin, right from the start. Every student has a different talent, I am looking for that in each person.
Learning to write Chinese with a writing brush is fun, and a sure way to engage students.
