I am a hardworking and committed Chinese teacher with a passion for education.
Having been teaching Chinese Language and Chinese History for over sixteen years, as well as teaching Chinese as a Second Language for Non-Chinese students for over eight years in Hong Kong, my mission is to inherit and educate the knowledge of the Chinese language to the new generation so that they can use it as a powerful tool to understand and appreciate the abundant cultural heritage. Apart from local Hong Kong students, I also taught the Edexcel International GCSE Chinese (Mandarin) to Non-Chinese students since 2008 and the Edexcel GCE A Level Chinese (Cantonese) to Chinese students a year. I have been appointed by Pearson as an Associate and have been added to the list of International Examiners for GCSE / International GCSE Chinese.
With the aim of enriching the learning experience and making learning interesting, fun and efficient, I love to play an active role in initiating and organizing various cultural activities in addition to classroom teaching. Being a teacher, the greatest satisfaction comes from my students who show a sense of accomplishment when mastering the knowledge learned. Education is not just teaching the knowledge or skill, what’s more important is cultivating the students’ spirit of exploration while giving them appropriate guidance.
