I am a caring, passionate and diligent teacher. I have been teaching in a mainstream school for the past four years, in which time I have become a Trust wide Science Lead and effectively supporting my students in their SATs success. I also have had an extensive experience working within a Special Educational Needs School. Over the course of my teaching career, I have been able to obtain an abundance of experience with both the Phonics Screen Check, preparation and application of SATs. I have a range of strategies and tips on helping students succeed. I am dedicated to aiding every child grow and flourish.

Tutoring Experience

Teaching has always been my vocation, as a result of this I have been volunteering, training and teaching for over eight years. I first began by volunteering my time in local care centres and nurseries where I was able to aid the development of children’s interpersonal and social skills. From here I studied at the University of Hertfordshire and qualified my Bachelor of Education Honours Degree Primary with QTS in 2021. Since then I have worked in a two-form entry school in Key Stage One.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is different with every child I work with as I take in to consideration their needs, skills and engagement to ensure that the learning is catered to them to ensure success. I am a very patient person who strives to grow each child’s confidence in their own abilities. I believe that children need to experience things to fully understand them and that their needs to be an emphasis on children taking an active role in their learning. I also am very positive and want the children I work with to feel the same, I create a safe and stimulating learning environment where children feel safe enough to learn from their mistakes and excel.
