I am a native Spanish tutor. I´m bilingual in Portuguese. I also teach English as a foreign language. I trained as a language teacher more than 30 years ago (The Natural Approach) and I find the skills are interchangeable for all languages. I´m also a qualified translator and interpreter.
I teach all levels and ages, whether the student needs help with school work, grammar, official exams, to advance professionally or simply wants to learn a vibrant and relevant language and culture.
I teach at home or at the student´s home. In person or online.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching languages for more than 30 years. I have taught a wide range of students: Primary School, High school, GCSE, IB and Alevel students, university students, professional executives and adult learners.
I also help high school and university students improve their writing skills and professional students with phone, reports and email skills.

Tutoring Approach

Unless the student wants to improve in a specific area or is preparing for a particular exam, I follow the "Communicative Method".
This method works with the four communicative skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing, focusing on natural language acquisition while developing a grammatical solid base.
