As an experienced private tutor from Hong Kong and a UK drama school graduate completely fluent in English, native in Chinese (Cantonese), I am easy-going, friendly and popular with young children. Lessons with me are always fun and tailored to each student's need, and my rates are negotiable if needed. Communications with me are straight-forward and simple too. I believe in encouraging learners in order to achieve the best outcome, and am always flexible with ways of teaching and explaining based on the learner's ability. My customers range from serious students or laid-back casual family learners.

Tutoring Experience

I have most experience teaching Mandarin, piano, maths, science and English as a foreign language. My youngest student is 2 years old and oldest is >50. Very comfortable with young children, and most comfortable with any subject at or below the level of GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

Flexible approach tailor-made according to each parent/guardian's requirement, but my usual approach is as belows:

Speaking, listening, interactive conversations, learning through songs and videos, reading and writing via textbooks and exercises for languages-learning, usually once or twice a week, each for one hour;
Fun, repeated exercise drilling and patient explanations for Maths, usually once a week for 1-2 hours;
Tailored lessons on music and instruments
