I am an enthusiastic and experienced educator, most recently as Director of Sixth Form in a girls' school in South London with 9+ years' experience as a Teacher of Classics and Oxbridge/ University admissions leadership in independent schools in London. I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015 and gained Qualified Teacher Status in 2017. I am passionate about all aspects of Classics and Oxbridge/ University applications, including GCSE and A Level work, admissions tests, university applications, and Oxbridge interviews and have a warm, student-oriented approach to my teaching.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience as a Teacher of Classics, teaching Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation to years 7-13, including Oxbridge/university admissions prep. My most recent Y13 classes in each of Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation achieved 100% A*-A, and my most recent GCSE Greek class also achieved 100% A*-A (class of 11 students).
I have also been Head of UCAS, Head of Oxbridge Applications, Head of the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) and various other roles.
I have taught at a variety of mixed and single sex independent schools in London.
I have led over 100 students in successful applications to Oxbridge, including around 30 students successfully for Classics subjects at Oxbridge. I can provide interview practice for Oxbridge and other university admissions for all Classics subjects, Linguistics, Law and General. I have also prepared students successfully for the LSAT and Law applications generally.

Tutoring Approach

I am personable and supportive at all times whilst offering detailed, constructive and regular feedback to ensure consolidated learning and progress. I design each lesson to suit the needs of each student, with much experience of teaching hundreds of students with various learning needs and personal needs. I can provide scaffolded, supported learning to build confidence and understanding of the fundamentals of each subject, and I can provide stretch and challenge at all levels.
