Hi, I’m Cameron — a full-time maths tutor with a strong academic background, 10 years of experience, and a part-time role in mathematical research. I teach students from KS1 all the way to university level. Originally from Cambridge, I began tutoring during sixth form and later moved to Nottingham to study Mathematics at university. My degree focused on both theory and teaching, and I continued tutoring throughout. I then relocated to London, where I developed my approach further. I’m now based in Coventry, working with students both locally and online.

I specialise in making maths understandable, accessible, and genuinely less intimidating. Parents often describe me as patient and clear, while students regularly say that things “finally make sense” after our sessions. I offer flexible lesson options at your home or mine and discounted small group sessions for learners at similar levels.

Whether you’re preparing for SATs, GCSEs, A-levels, or university modules, I tailor every lesson to your needs. I take time to understand each student’s learning style, adapting my teaching accordingly. Lessons are engaging, encouraging, and focused on building both skills and confidence.

And for long term support, you’ll be glad to know I never raise my prices, no matter how long we work together.

Let’s build confidence, sharpen skills, and achieve great results.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve tutored students at every stage — from KS1 all the way up to university level — over the last decade across Cambridge, Nottingham, London, and now Coventry. My journey began in Cambridge, tutoring students as a sixth-former. While studying Mathematics at The University of Nottingham, I supported fellow students and tutored across multiple levels, from 1st Year learners to adult returners. This combination of academic and hands-on experience helped shape my adaptable teaching style.

In London, I expanded into exam preparation, small group sessions, and university-level tutoring. Since moving to Coventry, I’ve continued working with a diverse range of learners both locally and online, helping them overcome challenges and gain lasting confidence in maths.

From number bonds in KS1 to abstract algebra at university, I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. Parents often comment on my “clarity” and “tailored sessions,” while students say they feel more confident, sometimes after just a few lessons. One shared how maths “finally made sense” after working with me.

I provide regular feedback, optional homework, and practice tailored to each level and goal. Sessions are flexible — one-to-one or discounted small groups — at your home, my home, or online. Sessions can be any length, depending on your needs.

Whatever the format, I focus on clarity, encouragement, and results.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is calm, friendly, and completely personalised. Whether I’m working with a KS1 child taking their first steps in maths or a university student tackling advanced modules, I tailor every lesson to suit the individual’s needs and learning style.

Each student is different, so I take time to build trust, identify strengths, and target areas for growth. Some need extra encouragement and reassurance on the other hand some benefit from a structured revision plan. I’m often told that I explain things in a clear and patient way. One parent shared that their daughter felt more confident after just two sessions. Another said their son “understands maths now” and enjoys it.

As someone with dyslexia, I understand how traditional teaching methods can be frustrating. Over time, I developed strategies that worked for me, and now I use these insights to support students, especially those with similar learning differences. We work together to find techniques that suit them best.

Lessons include visual explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice. I’m fully equipped with a digital whiteboard for engaging, interactive online sessions. I provide regular progress updates, optional homework, and exam preparation. Sessions can be at your home, mine, or online, with group discounts available. My only requirement is that an adult over 18 is present during a session an in-person session.

My goal is to build confidence, clarity, and a lasting love of learning.
