I am a Senior Research Associate in Machine Learning, AI, and Natural Language Processing at the University of Cambridge, with over 15 years of teaching and supervisory experience. My academic background includes an MA (Distinction) in Linguistics and Technology from Kyoto University, a Master’s in Data Science from Queen Mary University of London, and an MPhil (Distinction) and PhD from the University of Cambridge.

My interdisciplinary expertise spans English (including as a foreign language), linguistics, Japanese philosophy, critical thinking, machine learning, and computational linguistics. In addition to my university roles, I run a successful online education and research consultancy, supporting students and early-career researchers worldwide with academic writing, project development, and research mentoring.

Tutoring Experience

Over the past 15 years at Cambridge, I have taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students across linguistics, English, and AI-related subjects. I’ve also supported learners in areas such as academic writing, logic, philosophy, and university preparation.

I have extensive experience helping students gain admission to top institutions including Cambridge, Oxford, and Ivy League universities. I’ve also worked with international students preparing for English language exams, academic interviews, and competitive scholarship applications.

Through my online consultancy, I’ve led training programmes on research design, publication preparation, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary communication across the humanities, social sciences, and computational fields.
